Curtin University has appointed distinguished geoscientist Professor Andrew Putnis as the new Director of The Institute for Geoscience Research (TIGeR), based at the Bentley Campus. Curtin University will sponsor the CEDA ‘Future of the Goldfields-Esperance’ conference, to be held at the WA School of Mines in Kalgoorlie on 7 July. The conference will discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the region, including how this mining-focused region can diversify its economy and build a prosperous, sustainable future for its communities. WASM ‘Agricola College, building begins
