Tim graduated with a BSc in Mining Geology in 1999. Whilst a student was heavily involved in student activities, including being President of the WASMA Social Club and being part of the team who introduced the Curtin Guild to WASMA in Kal and the creation of WASMA number plates. Post graduation worked in the Goldfields for approx 5 years as an UG Geologist in nickel and gold mines, the whole time engaged as a Mine Rescue volunteer. Enjoyed considerable success in the local Mine Rescue Competitions towards the end of this period and was offered an Emergency Response Coordinator role. In 2004 made the decision to switch careers to OHS/ER. Since then has worked locally within the Goldfields in OHS and ER Roles, including being part of the team who started LaMancha’s Frogs Leg operation, then finally as OHS Manager for UG contracting company Rock Team in 2013. When Rock Team ceased operations in mid 2013 commenced working as a OHS & ER contractor under the name Proactive Risk Management. Apart from the BSc in Mining Geology Tim holds a Cert IV in OHS, Cert III in Emergency Management and a Cert II in Security Operations. Tim is currently the Chairman of the CME Eastern Regional Council Mine Rescue Committee and a committee member of the recently formed WASMA – Kal Branch
