A higher degree research facility valued at nearly 1 million dollars is to play a key role in doubling WASM’s post graduate intakes.

WA School of Mines Director Dr Sam Spearing said the school’s goal was to be recognised as the world leader in mining research – a focus it can only deliver if the school increases it’s research output.

” I would like us to become more research-focused, between 20-25 per cnet of our students being postgraduate students,” Dr Spearing said. it would boost WASMA’s standing in the industry QS system

from sixth in mining programs to first. A world wide recognised centre of excellence for mining education,  WASM to be number one.
