The Camborne School of Mines Association Australia Alumni, led by Anthony Bennett, took out first place at the WASMA Better Together Quiz Night, topping a strong field of 20 teams. Just nine points separated the highest and lowest scores, with AMPS – Your Partner in Technical Services placing second and Curtin University coming in third.
The night raised $2,075 for the WASM Student Pantry in Kalgoorlie, with generous support from all who attended.
Thanks to Vicky Pellowe from The FIFO Family Project for sharing insights into the challenges faced by FIFO families. During Reconciliation Week, we also proudly supported the donor blood drive led by Jo Abraham and First Nation Engineering—don’t forget to book your donation at lifeblood.com.au.
Special thanks to Jan Bryson PMP and Yasmin Cueva Lavezzo from Partner&Prosper for their behind-the-scenes support, and to our Quiz Masters, Dux Nuts Entertainment.
Gratitude also goes to our Gold Sponsor Northern Star Resources Limited, and Event Sponsors TLT-Turbo GmbH and Genesis Minerals Limited.
We’ll see you next year—WA School of Mines Alumni for the win!
