Scholarships
Supporting scholarships at the WA School of Mines (WASM) is a meaningful way to invest in the future of the resources industry. By contributing to a scholarship, donors help remove financial barriers for high-achieving students, foster innovation, and build a stronger pipeline of skilled professionals. Whether through a long-term endowment, a philanthropic gift, or a sponsored partnership, your support plays a vital role in shaping the next generation of industry leaders.

WASM Excellence Scholarship Fund
Since its establishment in 2015 the WASM Excellence Scholarship Fund has helped to ensure that students from different walks of life can benefit from the world-class education WASM provides. Six sholarships are on offer in 2026 and we would like to increase that number with your help .
Christine Foster Memorial Scholarship Endowment
Born in Kalgoorlie, Christine became a mining engineer after graduating from WASM in 1996 and sadly passed away in Edinburg in 2000.
Christine’s fellow WASM alumni have established the Christine Foster Memorial Scholarship and the Endowment Fund to honour her memory by supporting female students pursuing science and engineering degrees at curtin.
One scholarship will be awarded in 2026 and you can help to support more women in Science and Engineering by contributing to the endowment.
