Matt Jones is a surveying and geospatial professional with 15 years of experience in Western Australia’s resources sector, predominantly across the Goldfields in underground and open pit surveying. He currently manages the Kalgoorlie division of Element Geospatial and is an Authorised Grade 1 Mine Surveyor. With expertise also spanning across civil earthworks, aerial surveying and specialist technical areas, he is adept at managing and delivering high-performance geospatial solutions.

Matt graduated from WASM in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science (Mining and Engineering Surveying) and is a strong supporter of the industry’s involvement in education and employing graduates. Outside of work, he’s kept busy by his two kids, and enjoys camping holidays, cheering on their activities, and the occasional round of golf.
