Tim Campbell is a mining professional with more than 25 years of experience across geology, emergency services, health and safety, and project management. Beginning his career after graduating with a BSc in Mining Geology from the WA School of Mines, Tim gained early experience as a mine and underground production geologist at Black Swan Nickel Mine and Kanowna Belle, while also volunteering as an underground emergency responder.
His career evolved into safety and emergency response leadership, holding roles such as Underground OHS Coordinator at Black Swan, Emergency Response Coordinator at Frogs Leg, and Emergency Services & Security Coordinator at BHP’s NiWest Nickel Smelter. He later applied his expertise in health, safety, and risk management as OHS Manager for Rock Team Contractors and as Director of his own consultancy, Proactive Risk Management, before returning to operational roles with Northern Star Resources as Senior Safety Advisor.
Since 2019, Tim has been with Mining Plus, where he has held positions including Projects Coordinator, Registered Manager, and Operations Manager. Drawing on his diverse technical and leadership background, he continues to contribute to safe, efficient, and sustainable mining operations while mentoring teams and supporting the next generation of mining professionals.
