This time last week we were in Kalgoorlie preparing for our 2024 Diggers & Dealers Sundowner – and what a night it was!
We want to extend heartfelt thanks to our incredible WASMA Kalgoorlie Committee. Our Kalgoorlie team are always the first to raise their hands and volunteer assistance when needed. Special thanks to Ron Ellis, Corin Arcaro, Brianna Reid, Tim Campbell, Joseph Mead, Marcos Da Silva and Chris Gianatti for their outstanding efforts. Thanks also to Gemma Murphy and Josh Redmond for providing much valued assistance on the night.
Formal speeches can truly make or break a Sundowner. On the night, our skilled MC Ron Ellis kept formalities running smoothly and on schedule. Our President Kyle De Souza expertly summarised the Alumni’s activities over the past year and highlighted the exciting plans for the year ahead, all within just seven minutes. Additionally, Josh Redmond awarded Life Membership to our esteemed Council member Phil Plaisted, honoring his support and dedication to the Alumni.
We are incredibly thankful to the WASM Social Club Inc. for ensuring our Sundowner guests were well-hydrated throughout the event. Shayera Allen and her team worked tirelessly all evening to meet the high demand for beverages!
Thank you also to Luke Bowler from Access Hire Australia for providing much needed lighting outside the WASM Graduates Hall. This made exiting the building a lot safer for everyone!
