Our friends at Normet are joining us once again for our July Kalgoorlie Sundowner. This event will be held at the WASM Grads Hall on Kalgoorlie from 6:30pm on Wednesday 22 July 2026.
During the Sundowner, the Normet team will be providing an update on recent developments in ground support design for challenging ground conditions. Normet has developed a new rock bolting system – the HX Bolt. This is a general-purpose dynamic rock bolt, designed for efficiency of installation, high performance, and longevity.
Normet has successfully conducted an underground trial at a mine in NSW, demonstrating the system’s performance in a weak rock mass, where all other rock bolting systems failed. Join us for the Sundowner to hear more!
Light refreshments will be served. This is an event not to be missed and is free for WASM Alumni, Engineers Australia and AusIMM Members plus students and guests. Registrations are essential for catering.
