WASMA returned to the WA School of Mines (WASM) Graduates Hall on 25 February 2026 for its first Kalgoorlie Sundowner of the year, bringing together students, alumni and industry for an evening of connection and insights.
The event was proudly sponsored by Topdrill, with attendees hearing how the company is applying AI in its drilling operations and gaining a closer look at its Toplytics platform. The session sparked strong engagement from a full room, with plenty of discussion throughout the evening.
It also marked a welcome return to in-person Sundowners, offering a chance to reconnect with WASM students and industry peers, while introducing new Kalgoorlie Committee members Rebekah Smiles and Josh Foster, who joins as the student representative.
WASMA also acknowledged the support of WASM Social Club Inc. and Taylor Harris for their hospitality, along with the Kalgoorlie Committee for delivering a smooth and well-run event. A special mention went to Brianna Reid for stepping in as MC on the night.
The next Kalgoorlie Sundowner is scheduled for Wednesday, 13 May 2026 with tickets to be released soon.
