Keith Parry was a respected leader in the Australian mining industry, known for his operational excellence and dedication to mentoring future leaders. He began his career as a surveyor and rose to become Director of Operations at Western Mining Corporation, where he contributed significantly to landmark projects including Mt Charlotte, Kambalda and Olympic Dam, earning recognition as a world class operator.
He also served as Director of Alcoa of Australia and Mt Magnet NL, President of the Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia, and as a member of the WA School of Mines Board of Management. His guidance and leadership were instrumental in shaping the careers of many in the industry.
The WMC Keith Parry Memorial Trust Fund was established to honour his lasting contributions to mining and continues to support excellence within the sector.
