Our 2026 WASMA Mentoring Program is now in full swing. Once again we would like to thank our Mentoring Program sponsor, Bellevue Gold.
This year we had well over 100 mentors and mentees apply and for the first time we only accepted applications from those who were working in the mining industry, looking to return to the industry after a career break or were on near completion of their post graduate studies. From our applicants, we were able to create 55 mentoring loops.
To celebrate the commencement of the Mentoring Program, we hosted a Sundowner at Engineers Australia WA Division offices. This was an informal chance for participants to meet and get to know one another. With many participants working FIFO or living outside the Perth metropolitan area, we were especially grateful to those who took the time to attend.
We wish all our mentors and mentees all the best in their mentoring journeys!
