Last week we welcomed a number of WA resources leaders for our WASMA President’s Lunch. This lunch held special significance, as it was Kyle De Souza’s final President’s Lunch before his term concludes in October this year. We were very honoured to have a number of special guests attending, including the Minister for Mines and Petroleum, Hon David Michael, Curtin University Provost Professor Matthew Tonts WASMA Champion and Emeritus Professor Odwyn Jones (who was Head of WASM from 1976 – 1999) and past WASMA Presidents including Christian Price and Tony James.
During lunch, Kalgoorlie Campus Director Tanya Chambers shared an update on the latest developments at the WASM Campus in Kalgoorlie.
Then our President, Kyle De Souza, provided an update on the Alumni’s progress and emphasised the importance of continued industry support for both the WA School of Mines and the Alumni.
