WASMA President’s Lunch December 2025

In December 2025, we held the inaugural President’s Lunch with our recently elected Alumni President, Darren Stralow. We extend our sincere thanks to UBS for sponsoring the event and to the UBS team Steven Drummond, Edward Fan and Josh Snow for their attendance.

During the Lunch Darren highlighted the priorities for his term, with a focus towards celebrating WASMA’s legacy, its history and the stories of the people who shaped it. Perfect timing as we will be celebrating WA School of Mines (WASM)‘s 125 year anniversary in 2027!

We were pleased to also welcome Curtin University Provost Matthew Tonts who gave us on update on what is happening at WASM. It was very pleasing to see enrolment numbers increasing!
