Dean Vallve

Dean’s WASM journey started in 2003 when he enrolled on the promise that “Geology is easy, you just look at rocks all day!” from a well-known WASM identity.

Since graduating from WASM in 2005 (Geology) and 2008 (Mining); Dean has been fortunate to work in diverse roles from exploration to mine closure in geological, engineering, and managerial disciplines at open pit and underground mines. In addition to his technical qualifications, Dean also holds an MBA and WA First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate.

Dean’s passion for the resources sector is only matched by his passion for spending time with his family and being involved with AFL football, where he coaches and plays for various teams including WASM Football’s inaugural side of 2022.
