The 2025 Diggers & Dealers Mining Forum may now be behind us, but the memories of this year’s WASMA Diggers & Dealers Sundowner continue to shine brightly. Alumni, industry colleagues, and friends gathered at the WA School of Mines (WASM) for what proved to be a record-breaking evening of connection, celebration, and community.
This year’s Sundowner reached new heights, with tickets selling out at lightning speed. More than 150 were snapped up within the first 24 hours. The event was also a fitting occasion to celebrate the remarkable service of outgoing WASMA President, Kyle De Souza, whose leadership and dedication were warmly acknowledged throughout the night.

Formalities were led by MC Ron Ellis, with Raleigh Finlayson sharing heartfelt reflections on the legacy of Kyle De Souza.
As the evening drew to a close, the sense of camaraderie and pride among attendees was unmistakable. With memories made and milestones celebrated, the WASMA Diggers & Dealers Sundowner once again proved why it remains a highlight of the annual calendar.
