The WASM Graduates Hall in Kalgoorlie was buzzing on March 26 as our first Kalgoorlie Sundowner for 2025 brought together a full house of WA School of Mines students, faculty, and industry professionals.
A huge thank you to Normet Group for sponsoring the event. Attendees gained valuable insights from Normet’s Rual Abreu (Global Director – Rock Reinforcement), Dirk Venter (Senior Manager – Ground Support), and Ben Ferri (Technical Solutions Manager – Sprayed Concrete), with Paul Ferreira (Chemical Ops & Product Support Specialist) also in attendance. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn more about Normet’s global operations and expertise.
A special shoutout to our dedicated Kalgoorlie Committee—Ron Ellis, Corin Arcaro, Chris Gianatti, Brianna Reid, Joseph Mead, Tim Campbell, and Vinh (Austin) Nguyen—for their efforts in making this event a success.
