On February 7, 2025, the WA School of Mines Alumni welcomed the latest graduates from Minerals, Energy and Chemical Engineering, Surveying, and Geology at the Perth Graduation Sundowner. The event marked a significant milestone as they officially joined the WASM Alumni community.
Each year, the WA School of Mines Alumni presents the prestigious Silver Medal to the highest-achieving graduates. The Class of 2024 recipients are:

⭐ Metallurgical Engineering – Iain Angus
⭐ Geophysics – Kristian Stonier
⭐ Chemical Engineering – Ross Stone

⭐ Surveying – Rob Kither

A highlight of the evening was a keynote address from respected mining engineer Keren Paterson, who shared valuable career insights to inspire the new alumni.
WASMA will host its Kalgoorlie Graduation Dinner in May, celebrating graduates from the Kalgoorlie campus.
