The next generation of resources professionals was recently celebrated at the 2026 WASMA Kalgoorlie Graduation Dinner. Each year, the Alumni proudly hosts a graduation dinner to formally welcome the newest graduating class into the WA School of Mines Alumni community.
This dinner recognises the proud legacy the graduates now become part of. The evening also acknowledged the important role played by families, friends and WASM academics and staff who have supported graduates throughout their studies and helped them reach this milestone achievement.
On the night, we welcomed Corin Arcaro, General Manager at South Kalgoorlie Operations with Northern Star Resources as our after dinner speaker. Corin graduated from WASM in the early 2000’s and has worked for a number of mines within WA. He is an active supporter of WASM, the Alumni, and is the Vice Chair of the WASMA Kalgoorlie Committee. On the night, Corin shared practical career and life advice to the graduates which was greatly appreciated by the audience.
