Our anticipated 2027 WASMA Sponsors & Partners Prospectus will be released on Monday 19 October 2026!

Not even a torrential downpour could put a stop to a WASMA event! We recently held our final Kalgoorlie Sundowner for 2026.

We’re thrilled to be continuing our partnership with Northern Star Resources Ltd. for another three years!

Kalgoorlie Committee Chair Ron Ellis shared his career journey and experiences with a group of WASM students at the annual Strategic Careers Workshop.

Notice is hereby given that the 2026 Annual General Meeting for the WA School of Mines Alumni Inc. (WASMA) will be held at Bellevue Gold (Boardroom,  Level 4/1100 Hay St, West Perth WA 6005) on Thursday, 15 October 2026 at 6.00pm.

We recently celebrated our third MineChat of 2026 at Boobook Bottles & Bar (we can’t believe there’s only one more left for this year!)

Stuart Tonkin has been awarded Life Membership of the WA School of Mines Alumni in recognition of his outstanding contribution to WA School of Mines (WASM), the Alumni and the resources sector.

In early August we hosted our biggest event of the year, our annual Diggers & Dealers Sundowner. Our sold-out event welcomed 450 guests to the WASM Graduates Hall, bringing together Alumni, the broader resources community, sponsors and current WASM students.

We were pleased with the sensational turnout and the quality technical presentation from our Sundowner sponsor, Normet Group.

In June we held our first President’s Lunch for the year and was pleased to update our biggest supporters on what we have been up to over the past 6 months.
